Liqueurs, pastis, absinthe, gin… For decades, the society of the Distilleries and Estates of Provence have been crafting culinary treasures which have been enjoyed and celebrated far beyond the region’s borders. Jennifer Manez takes us on a journey through the saga of these fabulous places during a tasting session of these refined and delicious drinks.
Regarding the Distilleries and Estates of Provence:
The history of the Distilleries and Estates of Provence began in 1898, in Forcalquier. The heirs of the botanical secrets passed down between the Lure Mountains and the Garrigue have created culinary treasures that still delight even the greatest connoisseurs around the world. Several brands have existed since the Distillery’s creation, such as Farigoule or Gentiane de Lure, and have now been added to thanks to the celebrated Pastis Henri Bardouin, Absente, Rinquinquin or Gin XII… these are products bearing a Provençal identity which are part of the current trend and yet stretch far beyond the borders of this beautiful region.
