When the summer heat eases and September’s mild light caresses the Provençal landscape, it’s time for classical music to resonate through Cotignac. Four young musical virtuosos will take you on a delightful journey with their four unique concerts set in the midst of the most beautiful corners of the Lou Calen estate.
Winners of the Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis, these young musicians are Tamas Palfalvi on trumpet, Matthias Well on violin, Marcel Szabó on piano, and Joséphine Olech on flute, ready to celebrate summer as if it will never end.
For the past 10 years, the Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis annually awards young classical musicians for their innovative concepts. Financing a debut album entirely according to the award winner‘s ideas is only part of the support provided by the eponymous sponsorship association. The young musicians are supported in the long term with performance opportunities where they can also pursue their solo ambitions. The award winners decided to expand the concept of joint performances with an alternating cast and have joined forces with selected FMFP finalists under the name Fanny Mendelssohn Artists.
