Every summer, Cotignac transforms into an open-air movie theatre thanks to Les Toiles du Sud. This enchanting cultural event invites spectators to experience cinema in a different way, under the stars, at the foot of the majestic limestone cliff overlooking the village. For its 19th year, the Théâtre du Rocher offers a rich programme of 10 evenings of open-air screenings, including 8 unmissable film ‘premiere’ screenings!

From 15th July to 15th August 2025, all movie lovers are invited to discover an eclectic selection of masterpieces of art house cinema and films fit for all audiences. These open-air screenings set on the theatre’s stage at the foot of Cotignac’s illuminated cliff create a unique atmosphere, where rock, light, and the big screen unite to offer an unforgettable sensory experience.
 
This year’s programme showcases the recent Cannes Film Festival, showing six films from the official selection, including the 2025 Palme d’Or winner, Jafar Panahi’s A Simple Accident, as well as two notable works from the festival’s Filmmakers’ Fortnight. This will be a rich and intense cinematic journey set under the stars of Provence.
