Mireye Vidal

Practitioner in Ayurvedic treatments, creator and user of Panchakarma cures.

In the morning, the practice will begin with a yogic sequence such as the sun salutation, followed by various postures to awaken the spring energy in all of us. We favour Matsyendrasana twists, Viparita Karani inverted postures, Kumbhakasana arm presses and we tend to finish with Nadi Shodhana, and Kapalabhati pranayamas. Then we will take a moment in a seated position before starting fresh, light and free. In the evening the practice will begin with relaxation, Yoga Nidra, a Vipassana type meditation which involves careful breathing techniques, and we aim to finish with the chanting of a specifically-designed mantra.

Ayurveda, a tradition common to South India, uses a complex pharmacopeia. There are about 2600 plants, essential oils, mineral powders, metals like gold and copper, and some animal products. The medicinal oils based on plants have multiple virtues (toning of the muscles, improvement of the blood circulation, regeneration of the tissues and especially elimination of toxins). Ayurvedic massages are one of the oldest regenerative therapies for the body. This retreat will bring you considerable and perceptible benefits. It will give you the impetus to take even better care of yourself and especially the desire to renew the experience.

Christina Ching

Yoga teacher

Yoga has been my great passion since adolescence. I have been lucky enough to practice yoga for almost 50 years: from my university years in Auckland, New Zealand, all the way through my diplomatic career in Hong Kong, and then throughout my time in in France for the last 30 years. I graduated from the École Française de Yoga du Sud-Est (EFYSE) under the direction of Boris Tatsky in 2008. In addition to my yoga training, I am also qualified in relational coaching and “Coaching within Short Therapies”. Through yoga we learn to return to the present moment and stay there – to find a feeling of unity, joy, ease and inner peace within your own state of being. This is my main aim while teaching and practicing yoga.
