Mireille Bergès unveils Brins de thym et air marin, a short story collection where Provence appears by turns sun-drenched, wild or rugged. At the bookshop, she will also present her novels L’Envol and La Terre de Louise, inspired by southern landscapes and imbued with deep humanity.
About the author:
A retired headteacher, Mireille Bergès lives in Salernes in the Var. Provence, nature, old stone buildings and a deep fondness for people inspire her writing. Passionate about hiking and photography, she roams the trails. Her stories often emerge during these walks, but also on café terraces, coffee in hand, ears alert, observing people and life. She explores every literary genre—poetry, short stories, life writing, novels—and has even published a children’s book illustrated with paper collages.
