Valentine's Day in Cotignac: Two Chefs, Two Menus, Plenty of Promises
Created especially for the occasion, the Valentine’s Day menus showcase the finest local produce. The truffle, the black diamond of the Haut-Var region, takes centre stage across both menus, lending depth and character to the wonderful array of winter vegetables on show.
At the Jardin Secret restaurant, Benoît Witz‘s cuisine delicately combines langoustines and Cotignac saffron. At Le Bistrot by Lou Calen, Yvan Franceschi creates dishes featuring scallops, presented in a thin tart and crispy fritters.
In both menus, the main course is meant to be shared— with a Chateaubriand-style beef fillet at Le Jardin Secret, and a rack of Sisteron lamb at Le Bistrot—a natural choice for two sharing. The desserts, crafted by Lou Calen’s pastry chef, promise a sweet and indulgent flourish and the end of the meal.
In the warm and inviting atmosphere of Le Bistrot, or in the intimate cosy setting of Le Jardin Secret’s private dining rooms, this will be a truly special evening for two.
